I did a world tour and found the easiest army comp to take down were the Aserai. Before then I had the most challenge going up against other horse mounted armies, but now its no problem. Golden horde update- after khuz horse archers break that tier 3 to tier 4 barrier (getting a war horse) they become really resilient. If you can find the right circumstance like that, you might be able to hold onto it.
If you really want to try, basically you'll want to find a situation where you can snipe a castle from a dying faction that's been substantially weakened, hopefully after they've just taken it back from someone else and the garrison/militia hasn't had a chance to rebuild. I didn't want to join a kingdom and do all that, I wanted to go from independent to forming my own kingdom.Īs others have said, that's essentially hard mode.
